Cork Medical Makes Indiana Chamber of Commerce “Best Places to Work in Indiana” List for the Second Year

Cork Medical, a leading provider of innovative wound care solutions, has made the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Best Places to Work in Indiana list. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce recently announced its 2026 recipients for its 21st year. These awards recognize and celebrate businesses for creating cultures that attract and retain employees.

“An enjoyable workplace remains one of the strongest magnets for top talent,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “Organizations that cultivate a healthy culture tend to perform better overall, boosting productivity and long‑term success. We applaud this year’s honorees for their dedication to implementing standout workplace practices that help them attract and keep exceptional employees.”

Headquartered in Indianapolis and selling its life-changing equipment globally, Cork Medical has built a culture that cultivates employee growth and fosters opportunities for employees to have fulfilling careers centered around their mission of improving lives. This includes:

  • The RISE Program

A new employee-focused personal and professional development platform consisting of six key pillars — mental health, physical health, financial health, skill building, career growth, and leadership — to support employees in their pursuit of discovering their best selves.

  • Spending $2 Million in Renovations

The multi-phase renovation project will take place at the company’s headquarters. Phase one will focus on modernizing spaces to better support manufacturing, collaboration, and productivity. Phase two will focus on safety, accessibility, and improved infrastructure to create a more enjoyable workplace where employees can thrive.

  • An Emphasis on Community Service

Built to foster a culture of purpose, generosity, and connection, the community service program provides employees with eight hours of volunteer time off (VTO). Nearly 250 hours of VTO was used to support organizations like the Milk Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

  • Career Growth Opportunities

Stemming from a commitment to growth, innovation, improving patient outcomes, and delivering life-enhancing solutions, staffing within the clinical and operational teams was needed. Currently, the company is hiring for positions that focus on reshaping the future of healthcare and medical technology.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the culture we are intentionally building,” says Mike Cates, Cork Medical President. “Culture does not happen by accident. It is shaped by the standards we set, the accountability we reinforce, the balance we model, and the compassion we demonstrate in daily interactions. While this milestone is worth celebrating, it also serves as motivation. We will continue listening, evolving, and strengthening our culture so it remains one where people can thrive and do their best work.”

The top companies in the state were selected by the Workforce Research Group after receiving employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Winning organizations represent nearly 30 cities and towns, with multiple honorees coming from Bloomington, Carmel, Evansville, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Goshen, Indianapolis, Marion, Noblesville, South Bend, and Washington.

Winners were selected from five categories:

  • Small companies with 15 or more employees

  • Small-medium companies with 35 or more employees

  • Medium companies with 75 or more employees

  • Large companies with 250 or more employees

  • Major companies with 1,000 or more employees

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce awards dinner will be held at the Indiana Convention Center on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in partnership with KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller). Company rankings will be revealed, and awardees will be formally recognized.
