Does insurance cover all the equipment?

Medical equipment is covered by most insurances based on the patient having medical necessity for the equipment being prescribed. Most insurances have qualifications that must be met and well documented, which is where Rehab Medical’s expertise comes into play. Coverage varies from policy to policy and Rehab Medical has extensive experience with a large number of insurances.

Which insurances do you work with?

Rehab Medical is a licensed provider for Medicare, Medicaid and numerous other private insurance plans.

How much of the cost of my medical equipment will be covered by insurance?

Most insurance companies will pay between 50% and 80% of a set allowable price for medical equipment. The amount that your insurance company covers will depend in part on the type of equipment you need and the state in which you live.

What if I want an item that is not covered by insurance?

Rehab Medical will provide items or equipment that is not covered by insurance and the patient can pay out of pocket at any time for these items.

What do I do if my equipment needs service repairs?

Rehab Medical has local service centers in all markets we serve and are available to come out to your home to make any necessary repairs or service calls. To fill out a service request or get your questions answered, click here.

How do I submit a claim to my insurance for medical equipment?

As an authorized provider for Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Rehab Medical will handle all of the paperwork for you. Once we have received your doctor’s approval, we will send the necessary documentation to your insurance company for approval. Once we receive an approval, we will work with you to select and deliver the right equipment. Once equipment is delivered, Rehab Medical will bill your insurance for you.

Rehab Medical provides manual wheelchairs, standard power wheelchairs, Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) equipment that is customized for the patient’s needs, as well as a variety of wound care products.
